Borough Market, London UK
After a review of current practices, we worked with the Market Management Team to draw up a comprehensive waste management contract and hire a new partner. Providing essential guidance to upgrade systems to reduce waste, increase recycling and make the Market a nicer environment for visitors and traders. This was sub-contract work for Sizzle as part of a wider sustainability review.

Music Festival Recycling, N. Yorks, UK
An annual charity music festival in North Yorkshire, Confest’ attracts locals and visitors from across the North of England. Bremner Environmental developed the site Waste Management Plan, designed the recycling bin systems, manages the collection contracts, designed and ensures the systems run smoothly on event day.
We are proud that every year, the waste contractors are extremely complementary on the negligible contamination in the recycling collected. The organisers love the way the recycling `systems outperform all other local events and receives positive feedback from the festival goers.

Composting Feasibility Study, Newcastle, UK
Working with the Enrich The Earth team, Bremner Environmental developed a costed business case for community-led composting of food waste in Newcastle. The study included a detailed review of UK policy and legislation involved in setting up a viable composting system.
We visited a demonstration project in Paris and developed links with local government and community groups in Newcastle.

Toxins in Recycled Materials, Australian Government
Lead author and Project Director on research work for the Australian Government to review the potential for toxins to be transferred to new products during the recycling process and identify potential impacts on Australia’s transition to a Circular Economy.
The comprehensive study delivered a detailed review of key areas of concern within the materials supply chain and provided supplementary infographics and briefing notes for the Minister for Environment.

Waste Management Plan - Ritz-Carlton, Perth, Australia
Working closely with the architects for new commercial developments to determine best practice waste management planning and deliver high performing waste systems for the building, once operational.
The example here is the Ritz-Carlton hotel, residential and shopping complex in Perth, WA. Other similar new building projects include major hotels, hospitals, shopping centres, sports stadiums, offices and residential apartments and housing developments.
Clients include Brookfield Multiplex, Lend Lease, Stockland, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Circularity Review - Perth Cultural Centre, Australia
A review of the existing resource use and waste systems across all of the cultural quarter, including State Museum, Art Gallery, Performing Arts Venue, public spaces and food & beverage vendors.
Workshopping with the buildings and facilities managers, we developed a clear plan for a consolidated, best practice approach that stepped in a series of improvements driving towards a holistic, circular economy strategy for the Centre..
